Retention

When we remove your braces, we will begin the retention stage of your treatment. The supervised retention phase  varies from 12 to 24 months typically.  Your final orthodontic result depends on your retainers, so follow through with the hard work you’ve put in so far.  We will never tell you to stop wearing your retainer.  Remember to remove your retainer before brushing, and brush your retainer before placing it back in your mouth (toothpaste is abrasive and should not be used on the retainer).  Our staff will be happy to advise you on the appropriate cleaners for your retainer.
